San Joaquin County SELPA

San Joaquin County SELPA Our goal is to provide support to district personnel leading to improved
programs and resources.

The San Joaquin County Special Education Local Plan Area (SJC SELPA) is a regionalized services
office, providing special education services to the San Joaquin County Special Education Local Plan
Area school districts. We are made up of 10 school districts plus SJCOE County Programs: Banta Elementary School District, Escalon Unified School District, Jefferson Unified School District, Lammersville

Unified School District, Lincoln Unified School District, Linden Unified School District, Manteca Unified School District, New Jerusalem School District, Ripon Unified School district, and Tracy Unified School District. Support is provided to these districts upon request and may include consultation and/or direct service. An important function is to act as an interagency liaison and bridge between community resources and student needs.

Looking for a fun, inclusive outdoor experience for the whole family? Join us for a day of nature, exploration, and community at the Durham Ferry Outdoor Education Center!

Whether you want to enjoy a guided 3-mile hike to the San Joaquin River, explore the local riparian ecosystem with our staff, or dive into creative hands-on activities, there’s something for everyone.

💙 An Inclusive, Disability-Friendly Event:
This gathering is designed to welcome individuals of all abilities, including those with autism! Enjoy flexible participation options, sensory-aware activities, and supportive staff dedicated to helping everyone participate comfortably.

IEP meetings are an important opportunity for families to understand their child’s educational plan and participate meaningfully in the special education process. Quality interpretation helps make that possible. 🤝

🎯 INTENDED AUDIENCE:
This training is specifically intended for educational interpreters and school staff who provide or support interpretation during IEP meetings, particularly those working with Spanish-speaking families.

The training will focus on strengthening interpretation quality in educational settings and during the IEP process, with most examples provided in Spanish.
