πΈπ¦ This Week at CHIMINIKEβS LEARNING CENTER! π¦πΈ
Our students had an exciting week full of hands-on learning, creativity, and discovery as we explored the Letter of the Week: Y and learned all about birds and the owl life cycle!
β¨ Throughout the week, children practiced identifying and recognizing the letter Yy, learned its sound, and explored vocabulary words such as yarn, yolk, yogurt, and yo-yo. These activities helped strengthen early literacy, phonics, and letter recognition skills.
π¦ Our bird-themed studies gave students the opportunity to:
π₯ Learn about the owl life cycle from egg to adult owl.
π¦ Identify and label the parts of a bird, including the beak, wings, tail, nest, eggs, and eyes.
π Read and discuss books about birds and their habitats.
π Explore how birds grow and survive in nature.
π§ͺ Students also became little scientists during our βWhy Donβt Ducks Get Wet?β experiment! They made predictions, observed results, and recorded their conclusions while learning about feathers and how oils help protect birds from water. This activity encouraged critical thinking, observation, and early scientific inquiry.
π¨ Through art, drawing, coloring, and hands-on projects, our learners strengthened fine motor skills, creativity, and confidence while making meaningful connections to our weekly theme.
π We love watching our students learn through exploration, discovery, and play every day. Great job, everyone!

Nothing beats outdoor recess time filled with laughter, friendship, and active play! βοΈβ€οΈ
Today our little learners enjoyed climbing, sliding, running, and exploring the playground while building important social, physical, and teamwork skills. From taking turns on the slides to riding bikes and enjoying time with friends, every moment was filled with smiles and fun! ππ²β¨
At CHIMINIKEβS LEARNING CENTER, we believe outdoor play is an important part of early childhood development. Recess helps children strengthen their gross motor skills, confidence, creativity, and social interactions while enjoying fresh air and sunshine! πΏβοΈ
So many happy faces and beautiful memories made today! π
