Today Mrs. Leverton's 1st graders joined up with Mr. Richardson's 8th graders for a little STEM fun. The 8th graders created fun activities with Makey Makey kits to learn about circuits. They created a floor piano and had directions for the 1st graders to help them play Jingle Bells and Mary Had a Little Lamb. Another activity was a cross between a dance game and Guitar Hero. Students had to step on the correct button to earn points. Two 8th graders created a pin ball game using bananas as the controllers. Finally we had an aluminum foil guitar and banana bongo drums. Mrs. Leverton enjoyed the pinball game while Mrs. Downey tried out the floor piano.
