Welcome to Stockdale ISD, Mr. Curtis Rhodes!

Stockdale ISD is proud to welcome Mr. Curtis Rhodes as our Interim Superintendent!

Mr. Rhodes brings 38 years of experience in Texas public education, including 25 years as a superintendent. Most recently, he served 19 years as Superintendent of Needville ISD before retiring in August 2025. His career has also included serving as a teacher and coach, assistant principal, high school principal, and superintendent in Ingram ISD and Athens ISD.

Mr. Rhodes believes that public schools are the “heart and soul” of their communities and that student success should remain at the center of the work we do. He brings a wealth of experience, a strong commitment to public education, and an appreciation for the important relationship between a school district and its community.

We are grateful to have Mr. Rhodes join the Stockdale ISD family and look forward to working alongside him as we continue serving our students, staff, families, and community.
Please join us in giving Mr. Rhodes a warm Stockdale welcome! 💜🤍💜

The family of Todd Deaver would like to let everyone know that there will be a livestream (see comments for link) of the celebration of life at Stockdale ISD Junior High Gym along with the services at Stockdale Church of Christ at 11 AM on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

People are encouraged to wear Hawaiian shirts or their favorite band/concert shirt in his memory.

Poth ISD has graciously provided buses and drivers to help with parking and shuttle folks to the services so that Stockdale ISD staff can attend. Pick up and drop off locations will be at Stockdale Elementary (south side), Stockdale Junior High Gym, Old Firestation in front of Stockdale City Park, and Stockdale Church of Christ.

Respectfully reported,

Due to the chance of inclement weather and the need to bus all Stockdale Elementary students to and from the pep rally, we will be changing the pep rally time to 1:45 PM tomorrow (10/01/2026).

Todd touched the lives of so many, and we invite family and friends to come together to remember, honor, and celebrate the life he shared with all of us.

A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall. The family asks that, if you are able, please bring a finger food to share—such as small sandwiches, veggie or fruit trays, cookies, or other easy-to-serve foods.

Please continue to keep Todd’s family and loved ones in your prayers during this incredibly difficult time. ❤️🙏

📣 New Student Section Tonight! 🏈

Beginning tonight, Stockdale High School students will have a new designated student section at the football field.

The new section is closer to the action and will give students a better place to cheer, participate, and support the Brahmas. It will be marked with a banner and signs on the seats.

Students will no longer sit behind the band, allowing the band space to perform while giving students a section of their own.

Come fill the section and bring the energy! Go Brahmas! 💜🏈
