A presentation such as Montessori Handwashing is not chiefly about learning a practical technique-- although it may appear so, at first. The educational value lies in what the child is constructing through the activity:

~ adaptation to the environment,
~ coordination of movement,
~ independence,
~ and the development of the will.

This photo captures AMI 3-6 Trainer Caroline Clark demonstrating the Handwashing presentation during our Diploma Course, where students are studying the sequence of movements, yes, but also the developmental purpose behind every detail.
