Pete’s Pantry, Oklahoma State University's free on-campus pantry, combats food insecurity within the OSU community by meeting the essential needs of OSU students, faculty and staff. In addition to fresh produce from the OSU Student Farm, Pete’s Pantry provides free hygiene products to support the well-being of those in need. Since opening in 2022, the pantry has supported over 10,200 visits.

As we look ahead to on Dec. 3, we hope you will consider supporting OSU’s mission to combat food insecurity through the OSU Student Farm, located at The Innovation Park, as well as Pete’s Pantry.

The OSU Student Farm aims to provide low-income individuals and families with easier access to fresh, healthy food while planting the seeds of service for OSU students who work the land. The Student Farm’s fresh produce is available to OSU students through Pete’s Pantry, OSU’s on-campus food pantry. Pete’s Pantry offers free food, household, and hygiene supplies to students, faculty and staff in need.

An anonymous donor has generously pledged $50,000 in matching funds – $25,000 for each initiative. Your gift’s impact will be doubled!

Congratulations to our very own Tyler Hewitt on receiving the Association of Fundraising Professionals Oklahoma Chapter’s Outstanding Fundraising Professional outside Oklahoma City Award! Tyler is the Senior Director of Development and Team Lead of the Spears School of Business team.

The Outstanding Fundraising Professional Award honors an outstanding individual fundraising professional who works directly for a nonprofit, charitable organization. Recipients of this award successfully demonstrate exemplary, creative and innovative work in their careers, as well as a strong commitment to the profession.

Last week, First Cowboy Darren Shrum delivered the keynote address at the annual Oklahoma Ag Expo. The presentation highlighted the OSU Student Farm’s mission to combat food insecurity in Oklahoma as well as plant the seeds of service for the OSU students who work the land.

The OSU Student Farm, located in The Innovation Park, is grateful for the generous donations of equipment, fertilizer and monetary gifts from the members of the Oklahoma Agribusiness Retailers Association, Oklahoma Grain and Feed Association, Oklahoma Wheat Growers Association and the Oklahoma Seed Trade Association. Their support helps to advance the university’s vision to innovate solutions to nourish the world.

Kennedy Seals is a 2024 scholar and was featured in the STATE Fall 2024 Impact Spotlight!

Kennedy is passionate about advocating for agriculture, specifically the science within the industry that builds accessibility, integrity and sustainability. She is committed to agricultural education through Future Farmers of America and provides meals to farmers during harvest. Kennedy is a training course instructor for the McKnight Scholars Leadership Program at Stillwater Junior High School and serves as a Ferguson College of Agriculture career liaison to assist with career development.

For over 15 years, has played a pivotal role in advancing the university’s mission by celebrating philanthropy and the financial contributions of its council and the broader Oklahoma State University community. At the annual Women for OSU symposium, Cheryl Clerico was honored as the 2024 Women of OSU Philanthropist of the Year. The Women for OSU council awarded 16 scholarships, including the 2024 Student Philanthropist of the Year, Kodie Gough. Five initiatives received the Women for OSU Parnerting to Impact grants. Keynote speaker Deborah Norville inspired the family with her professional experiences and inspiring words about the power of gratitude.
