We are so proud 🥹

🎉 A Kingston High School senior is taking his leadership skills to the national stage!

Kooper Walker was recently elected as one of just 10 national officers for FCCLA, an organization with more than 250,000 students nationwide.

What started as a desire to learn how to cook turned into a passion for leadership — and now Walker will help represent FCCLA students across the country.

Walker says the experience is also helping prepare him for his future goal of becoming a politician. 🏛️

Meet some of the young Oklahomans making early literacy their mission. 📚 At the CareerTech OK Summit, OPSR’s Erin Bell showed FCCLA educators how their students can connect families with free books through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Oklahoma FCCLA has roughly 28,000 members across the state. That's a powerful network of young leaders ready to become early literacy ambassadors in their own communities. ✨

❤️ OAA members make friendships possible.

August 1 marked the start of a new Oklahoma FCCLA Alumni & Associates membership year, and this week we’ve shared just a few of the many things OAA members make possible.

But at the heart of it all, OAA is about something bigger than scholarships, events, and programs. It’s about people.

⭐ OAA members make District Officer Training possible.

District Officer Training (DOT) is where Oklahoma FCCLA district officers begin their leadership journey—building skills, gaining confidence, and preparing to serve members across the state.

DOT is provided at no cost to district officers, but this important leadership experience comes with a cost of nearly $30,000 each year.

Because of OAA members, Oklahoma FCCLA Alumni & Associates is able to sponsor nearly half of the cost of DOT. This support helps relieve the financial burden on Oklahoma FCCLA and allows more resources to go toward other student opportunities, initiatives, and programming.
