Our Student Employee & Student Employer of the Year wall just received its latest update! 🧡
This week, we updated our Student Employee of the Year wall, celebrating the many students and that have gone above and beyond over the years. These names represent hard work, leadership, mentorship and service.
Our newest addition, Zoe Thompson, joins a long line of outstanding student employees whose contributions have left a lasting impact on Oklahoma State University.
We’re proud to showcase the students and employers who invest their time, talent and energy into making OSU a better place. Thank you to all who have been part of this tradition and congratulations to those recognized on our wall.

Your internship can either be a line on your resume or a launchpad for your career. The difference is usually strategy.
Before Day 1:
• Set goals for what you actually want to learn
• Research the company and your team
• Reach out to past interns
• Prepare a quick intro about yourself
The interns who stand out usually start preparing before the internship even begins.

Most interns wait until the end of summer to remember what they accomplished. Big mistake.
Keep a running note with 3 things:
• Projects → what you worked on + results
• People → who you met and want to stay connected with
• Performance → feedback you received
Spend 5 minutes updating it each week.
Makes resume updates, interviews and LinkedIn posts way easier later.

We had a great time at the HireOklahoma event on Tuesday! 🤠🧡
This event brings together students and alumni from universities across the state with 75+ employers actively hiring, creating another valuable opportunity for students to get directly in front of employers, make meaningful connections and explore future career possibilities.
At Career Services, this is our why. We believe every employer interaction has the potential to open a door for a student. Whether it’s gaining insight into an industry, building confidence through conversation or discovering a new opportunity, these moments help students take important steps toward their future careers.
We’re proud to advocate for OSU students and create opportunities that connect them with employers, expand their networks and support their success during their time at OSU and beyond.
Thank you to the employers and partners investing in our students’ futures. We are excited to continue building pathways for Cowboy success!
