What a fun day we had with Insight Creative Group yesterday sharing our amazing students and the great career training opportunities available through Oklahoma CareerTech schools like High Plains Technology Center!

According to a release, Oklahoma CareerTech recently awarded $2,064,816 in grants to 26 technology centers to be applied toward the 2022-23 school year.
Owasso Public Schools will use Oklahoma CareerTech's funds to update appliances at its Family & Consumer Sciences Department, and the Collinsville, OK School District will purchase new lab kits and 3D printers for its Medical Detective and Flight and Space curriculum.
Oklahoma students also fared exceptionally well at the 2022 International Leadership Conference for future health care professionals held in Tennessee (Oklahoma CareerTech).
Congratulations to the Oklahoma CareerTech students that placed at this year’s SkillsUSA National Conference! Our state took home 74 medals – the second most in the nation. You all do an excellent job representing Oklahoma and our top ten CareerTech system.

Yesterday, we shot our last video for the Oklahoma CareerTech aerospace video series at American Airlines. Throughout the last year, we had the amazing opportunity to travel the state and get an inside look at many of Oklahoma’s top aerospace companies.
We are sad to see this project come to an end but what a fun ride getting kids excited about careers in the industry!

Last week, partnered with Northeast Tech and Oklahoma CareerTech and had the privilege to host local educators for two full days learning about local career opportunities and participating in professional development sessions.
Participants toured GRDA, RAE Corporation and Berry Global to get a firsthand look at production processes and learning about their workforce needs. A panel of local professionals from Action Group Staffing, HE&M Saw, RAE Corporation, and Oklahoma Manufacturing Alliance spoke on their experiences and the opportunity available in the Industrial Park. Speakers from , , and presented on the importance of STEM education in the classroom and provided valuable information and free resources. Not to mention the chance to fly a drone during live demonstrations.
A big thank you to all our partners who made this possible. Berry Global, Grand River Dam Authority, and RAE Corporation for opening their doors to our educators.

We are proud to host this life changing partnership with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, Oklahoma CareerTech and TEEM. Not only are incarcerated men and women receiving training for sustainable careers post-release, they are also helping provide thousands of meals per month to food insecure Oklahomans.
Two of the fantastic speakers from today's culinary arts graduation. It was our first men's group to go through this program, and it was an amazing success. Thanks to James Michael Siderias and Stacy Dykstra of Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma for outstanding leadership, along with Oklahoma Department of Corrections and Oklahoma CareerTech and all of our graduates and their families. We can't wait to hear the success stories as they pour in!

Recently winning 1st Place at the SkillsUSA State Competitions in post-secondary Graphic Imaging Sublimation, he is also the classes April AM Student of the Month.
Help us celebrate MNTC Superintendent Brian Ruttman for his commitment to building better lives. His support for the HIRE program helps remove barriers to success for single-parent families by providing educational experiences for students beyond the classroom. MNTC HIRE Coordinator Matt Fix presented Ruttman with the Making It Work Day award certificate and plaque to acknowledge his service to students, families, and the community.
