This coming week marks a major deadline for SB 1782, which would eliminate tenure for all public higher education institutions, including OU and OSU. We will know if this bill moves forward by March 26th, the deadline for when bills must make it out of their house of origin to continue on. We need to take action this Monday-Wednesday to ensure the bill does not move forward and to work toward protecting tenure and academic freedom in Oklahoma's public higher education institutions.

The Oklahoma AAUP State Conference will be hosting a week of action, Monday, March 23rd-Wednesday, March 25th -- a very critical period in which every person's contribution will count!

Talk to your co-workers! Share the attached fact sheet (image below, pdf attached). Encourage them to call/write their state senator! Share on your social media!
