Last Saturday, March 7, Pace Setters Toastmasters club attended an area contest at Langston University. Stillwater Toastmasters club, the Roaring Legacy Toastmasters, and other clubs participated in the speech contest and the Table Topics contest. https://www.toastmasters.org/Find-a-Club/06063527-06063527 and others. Robert Larzelere won the award for Table Topics competition. Teresa Duston gave a speech as well.

Surya Bhaskar Ayyalasomayajula telling us about how Oreos taught him an insightful lesson in life. He is reminded of the lesson each time eats Oreos.

We may have been a small group for Halloween. We made it up in SPIRIT! Halloween poems were read aloud, Table Topics (extemporaneous speaking practice) topic prompts made us think quickly and speak about uneasy Halloween experiences.
Today's practice awards went to Pavan Kommarreddy - Best Speech Marley Beem - Best Table Topics Speech, and Deke Johnson - Best Speech Evaluator.
Teresa Duston was the Toastmaster for the day. The meeting title was: Toastmasters Meeting: Halloween Edition.

Inspired by our previous "CREEPY" themed : tell us about a time things got spooky.
You are invited to our PaceSetters Toastmasters meeting. We will be APPLYING Halloween to our Toastmaster meeting and using the experience to transform our presentation and meeting skills.
Our participants will use pretend characters in such as Wonder Woman or Superman, the Hulk, etc. to experiment and gain confidence. Costumes are encouraged but not required.
