Happy NPHC Week!

Meet the Greeks at Convocation! If you're considering joining a Divine Nine (D9) organization, this event is REQUIRED! Come meet members, learn about each organization, and get all of your questions answered in a fun, lively environment.

The OkState SGRhos are happy to announce that we will be having our first event in a while!

Join us on Friday, March 29th at 6:22pm for some painting, singing, food, and fun! Also in attendance will be members from the Illustrious lota Chapter from Langston University as well as the Prestigious Theta Pi Chapter from UCO.

Throughout the month of March, we will be highlighting several women of Sigma Gamma Rho who have and are actively making contributions to our society.

About Women’s History Month Women’s History Month began as a local celebration in Santa Rosa, California in 1978. The movement spread across the country when other communities began creating their own celebrations. In 1980, the National Women’s History Project (National Women's History Alliance), women’s groups, and historians pushed for national recognition. President Jimmy Carter issued the first Presidential Proclamation declaring the week of March 8th, 1980 as National Women’s History Week. In 1987, Congress passed Pub. L. 100-9 which officially designated “Women’s History Month.” From 1988 to 1994, Congress passed additional resolutions requesting and authorizing the president to proclaim Women’s History Month each year. Since 1995, each president has issued an annual proclamation designating March as “Women’s History Month.” The month is also celebrated in many other countries during the month of March and October.
