Our IISE student chapter had the privilege of hosting the 2022 IISE South Central Regional Conference between February 24-26. More than 100 students and professionals from Mizzou, K-State, Wichita State, OU, OSU, UT Arlington, and Texas A&M attended. Conference activities included tours of Kicker and Iron Monk, a student paper competition, awards banquet with keynote speaker Michael Foss, a panel and leadership session by Brenda Shumate, and lots of networking opportunities! We are thankful to our IISE chapter for their hard work in putting together this event and we are proud of their success!

James Darling, an IEM graduate and Business Applications Consultant, answers questions about his time in the OSU IEM program and his career in the technology industry at Microsoft! James works in the US Delivery Center (a team within Microsoft that serves customers from the federal government) and he specializes in the Microsoft Power Platform.

We are so excited to welcome our admitted students this Saturday! Admitted Student Day is a great opportunity for our incoming students to ask questions and learn more about OSU, CEAT, and IEM!

Happy first week of the semester!

Dr. Juan Borrero has been granted an NSF CAREER Award! This is the third NSF CAREER award in two years for OSU IEM. We are so proud of our faculty for their hard work and accomplishments!

We wish you all happy holidays and we are excited to see what our students and faculty achieve in 2022!

Kylie Dowers is a senior in IEM from Edmond, OK. She currently serves as President of Alpha Pi Mu, an industrial engineering honor society, and was named as a Senior of Significance by the Oklahoma State University Alumni Association. This award recognizes students who have excelled in scholarship, leadership, and service, and have brought distinction to OSU. Congratulations Kylie!

Niloufar Daemi accepted the Honorable Mention award on behalf of the OSU INFORMS chapter at the 2021 INFORMS Student Chapter Awards Ceremony.

In addition to the IEM teams, we also have students on the “Sustainable UTV” interdisciplinary team. Check it out!

Two OSU MS IEM graduates, Tom Britton and Leland Blank, and an OSU MS ETM graduate, Stan Stephenson, were inducted into the CEAT Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame recognizes some of the most distinguished alumni and industry leaders associated with CEAT!

Three IEM faculty members and one STAT faculty member have received a grant of $1.194 million from the National Institutes of Health for their proposal “Harnessing Tensor Information to Improve EHR Data Quality for Accurate Data-driven Screening of Diabetic Retinopathy with Routine Lab Results.”
