An additional congratulations to Mya Montonati, Graphic Design major and Art History minor, who presented her research project “Parchment to Pixel: The Roots of Modern Design” at the OSU Undergraduate Research Symposium on April 21! Mya’s project developed out of her participation in the CAS AURCA (Advancing Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity) program, working with Professor Jennifer Borland on the production of a medieval art scholarly journal, Different Visions.

Looking for a minor? Why not minor is Graphic Design! If you are a Studio Art major, you've already got two of the requirements. Consider adding this minor to build on design skills for future jobs and opportunities!

Art, Graphic Design, and Art History’s own professor Jennifer Borland will be the featured guest at the next Research on Tap! Hear more about her research on Monday, April 20, 5:30pm, at Iron Monk Brewery.

Next Thursday the Center for the Humanities Research Group Fellows will be presenting their research projects, including Art’s own Shelby Roberts! There will be short presentations, but otherwise this is a come-and-go event -- stop by for refreshments and a chat with these amazing scholars!

We are so excited to have graphic designer, Dimitry Tetin, give a talk about his work! Please join us from 5-6pm in room 109 of the Bartlett Center to hear his lecture "In And Out Of Time".

Art history senior students Kayla Duckworth, Lillian King, Amanda Weaver, and Winter Lewis successfully delivered their senior theses at the Senior Symposium on April 3, 2025. The keynote speaker and external assessor this year was Dr. Karl Whittington from The Ohio State University. Art History M.A. students Mackenzie Cooper, Savannah Hunter, and Sam Tarrant are also on track to graduate this spring/summer. Congratulations to our graduating seniors and graduate students!

As part of our Cultural Heritage Visiting Artist Series this year Sadie Red Wing, designer and advocate for native sovereignty, will be giving her lecture, "Reinventing the Indigenous Design Canon: No Printing Press Needed" in the Bartlett Center room 109 on April 6 from 5-6pm.

The reception for the Artist Society exhibition "Color Outside The Lines" is this Friday at 5pm in the Student Union Basement. Be sure to check out our talented students artwork before it comes down!
