Our Story
The Greenwood School of Music at Oklahoma State University is fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music and is proud to offer a wide variety of degree programs. These programs provide intensive courses of study that prepare students as emerging music professionals in a wide variety of career paths. The School of Music also offers many opportunities for non-music majors to participate in ensembles and applied instruction.
The Greenwood School provides individual studio instruction on virtually every instrument and voice. Other learning opportunities include a broad spectrum of pre-professional training and the opportunity to perform in more than 15 large and chamber ensembles. Over 150 concerts and recitals are presented each year, including performances by faculty and guest artists of national and international reputation, student degree recitals, large ensembles and chamber groups.
OSU became an All-Steinway School in 2008 with the purchase of 30 additional Steinway pianos and is supported by the Conn-Selmer Inc. and Vic Firth, Inc.
