And the best part? The more they sell, the more prizes they can earn! 🎁 Students can work their way toward some seriously fun rewards—from a light-up yo-yo all the way up to a MINI-FRIDGE! 🤩

This week, our 2nd & 3rd grade students have been learning all about matter and the three states of matter: solids, liquids, and gases. They’ve talked about how matter takes up space and has mass, even when we can’t always see it!

To bring their learning to life, they invited our Kindergarten and 1st graders to join them for a fun Baking Soda Balloon Experiment! Students made predictions before combining baking soda and vinegar and then watched as the reaction created carbon dioxide gas, which traveled into the balloon and caused it to inflate.

This experiment gave our students a hands-on way to see evidence that gas is matter because it takes up space. They practiced making predictions, observing what happened, recording their results, and thinking like real scientists!

There were lots of bubbles, lots of excited faces, and some great science learning!

What a great start to our school year! At our first chapel we held a funeral for “I Can’t” because with God’s help WE CAN!
We are looking forward to a great year learning & worshiping God together!

As we start a new school year.

Tomorrow, we welcome about 10 little ones experiencing their first, of many, first day of school. Some will be scared and some shed a few tears, along with their parents, and want to go home. By the end of next week, they’ll be pros at this school stuff! Welcome to the future Class of 2040 & 2041! (Wow! That’s hard to imagine!)
