Great first day at the October Fun Fly! Congratulations to all of our Level 1 certified fliers. You guys (and gal) are awesome! Can't wait to work on our competition rockets with y'all 🚀
We are looking forward to helping certify the next batch of fliers tomorrow! If you wish to come, the Fun Fly is a very chill event to spend your afternoon at. (But remember to bring sunscreen!)

For our upcoming meeting, we will have Dr. Krishnamoorthy as our guest speaker! He will talk to us about using balloons on Venus to learn about its seismology. The meeting will take place in Engineering North 450 on October 5th 7PM. We will stream and record it on Microsoft Teams, but you'll miss out on the free food! You can click the link at the bottom to join the meeting. See you there!

We had a great time at Airfest yesterday, saw lots of great rockets out there! (My personal favorite was the one designed to corkscrew with black exhaust. The launch looked absolutely stunning.)
Congratulations to Omar and Carter for getting their Level 2 certs, and Dylan for getting his Level 1 cert!

Our first general meeting for this semester will be on August 31st at 6:30PM! You can come to Engineering North Room 108 or watch the livestream on microsoft teams (link at bottom of post). This will be more of an information meeting to outline our plans with the rocketry team, micro-g, and filling an officer position. We will provide snacks/beverages and play a game of trivia! Winner will get a prize! It's super cool and cute, would make the perfect dorm room decoration!

I loved the process of designing, building, and finally launching a rocket. I still get excited to see a rocket leave the pad and hope to work on large scale rockets someday.
