This Wednesday the Violin & Viola studio directed by Dr. Huh and Dr. Skara preformed their solos (and duos and quartets!) at the Bennett Chapel ✨🎻

HUUGE CONGRATS to Hailey Bobbitt on her recital! She brought focus and inspiration to Bach's G Major Suite, Goltermann's 4th Concerto, and with Victor Cruz on Bass Trombone, the of Foreign Sketches by Sethan Felkins! Dr. Flynn was overheard saying "that Goltermann was 🔥🔥🔥"

Bravo to Drs. Huh, Skara, Flynn, and Lyalina for a fabulous concert of Brahms Piano Quartet No. 1 in g minor! Thank you to Dr. Antonucci for getting the concert started with a mini lecture on the piece complete with information about dogs howling at the premiere!

HUGE round of applause for LeQuincia Brown on her Junior Recital! She brought power and poise to the McKnight stage with Bach's G Major Suite, Fauré's Après un rêve, and Henri Casadesus' Concerto in C minor!
When reached for comment, her teacher Dr. Flynn was quoted saying: "chat, was this peak?" !!!

HUGE THANK YOUS to The Philadelphia Orchestra and McKnight Center for the Performing Arts for an amazing Cello masterclass!!! Alex Veltmann, a 30-year member of the legendary cello section, gave an inspiring set of teaching points about style and signing with the bow arm. !!!

This evening, the OSU Violin and Viola studio had the opportunity to participate in a master class with Paul Arnold & Rachel Ku from the Philadelphia Orchestra. This is one of the many opportunities presented through the Greenwood School of Music and McKnight Center for Performing arts!
