Awesome summer online grad course - FYI!!
This season, Town & Gown had the opportunity to produce “The Laramie Project,” a play centered on how Mathew Shepard’s killing in October 1998 affected his community of Laramie, Wyoming, and ultimately the entire nation. Mathew was gay, and his death helped to spur the creation of hate crimes legislation at the state and federal level in the following years.
“The Laramie Project” is a powerful, beautiful, moving piece of theatre. Its entire text is derived from interviews with dozens of Laramie residents as well as court records and public statements from medical professionals, faith leaders, politicians, and others.
The dates of our production are April 4th – 7th and again the 11th – 14th. Tickets will be available beginning Monday, April 1st at 11 a.m. via phone or online. (This information is in the press release too).
