Our programs are designed to prepare graduates to teach in college or university settings, public education, and/or to do research in university, business, and government settings. Educational Psychology is concerned with all aspects of psychology pertaining to teaching and learning in educational settings.

Had the opportunity to visit one of our prestigious alumni at Diponegoro University where she is the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs for the college. And what an office! She has a view of the Java Sea from her window... and an OSU pennant on her wall 😀

Abigail's Creative Component presents a proposal for evaluating a training program our military currently uses related to Sexual Assault and Su***de Prevention. Using educational psychology theories/research to address real-world needs - important work happening here!

We had the great honor of hosting Dr. Lety Gaeta--a visiting scholar from Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla the past two weeks. Sad to see her leave, but a super-productive visit we know will reap rewards in the future. Kudos to our awesome student organization (OSU - Educational Psychology Student Society) for treating her to lunch at Hideaway.

Our very own doctoral student, Jaime Lewandowski, has won first place in the CEHS 3MT (Three-Minute Thesis) Competition and will now compete at the university level on Nov 12. This is a tremendous achievement, and we encourage you to attend and support her! Please join me in congratulating Jaime on this well-deserved recognition!"

I am excited to share with you that Christina Smith has successfully defended her dissertation entitled “Cyberbullying Experiences During Adolescence and Prosocial Behavior in Emerging Adulthood: Mechanisms of Moral Disengagement as Mediators.” Her study looks at how cyberbullying perpetration and victimization during adolescence would be associated with prosocial behaviors in emerging adulthood through eight moral disengagement mechanisms.
