It has been a good week at BMITE New Teacher Academy! Today Gavin Cooper, OK BPA State President, shared his BPA story with our new BPA advisors. CTSOs can change lives - advisors make it happen. Thank you advisors for all you do and good luck to all of our new advisors this school year!
During this week’s BPA Growth & Development Summit, Engen Sundberg, National President of the Post-secondary Division, and D’Schon Simmons, National President of the Secondary Division, have been representing student members’ interests and sharing the Executive Council’s 2022-2023 Program of Work. The upcoming year is going to be a great one for BPA advisors and student members!
CEAC is doing the hard work this week to make the 2022-2023 membership year amazing for our members!

Carl Walls is the business teacher and Oklahoma BPA advisor at Mid-America Technology Center.
"As a multimedia technologies teacher, Carl is constantly making sure his students have every opportunity available to them including industry certifications and competitive event options," said Paxton Cavin, BPA state advisor. "This week Carl will be taking both secondary and post-secondary students to Dallas to compete in the 2022 Business Professionals of America National Leadership Conference. During Carl’s short time as a BMITE teacher he has volunteered countless hours to BPA at a local and state level, including coordinating the filming of “thank you” videos for veterans at the 2021 BPA/DECA Fall Leadership Conference and advising the 2021-2022 BPA State President, Brighton Snow."
Elijah Johnson, Secondary Division President, is excited to have BPA members join us in Dallas in just ONE day for the greatest National Leadership Conference yet!

Ambassador Torch résumés that were reviewed and rejected this year—and then corrected/revised by the student—must be resubmitted for further consideration. Only résumés with a “Submitted” status will be reviewed. To ensure a résumé will be reviewed, be sure to select the “Submit” button under the Ambassador Torch category on the student’s Torch Overview screen. Submissions for Ambassador Torch consideration are due by March 25.
Want to showcase your vocal talents by singing the national anthem at the National Leadership Conference in Dallas? Soloists and groups are invited to submit a video of their best a ca****la performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner” for a chance to sing onstage during the conference Opening Session!
