Italy: Fast and Furious

To say my heart is full would be an understatement…we have loved every moment with these students…last night dinner and games after…what a great group of people!! Going to kiss them! 🇮🇹❤️

Last day!! How did it go by so quickly? Visit to Olympic Stadium! So much fun!! See them all at dinner tonight before most of us board a bus at 5 am to head back to the states. Hope they all had fun! 🇮🇹❤️

Breathtaking does not even begin to express the Vatican Museums and Saint Peter’s today during our visit! 🇮🇹❤️

Early morning optional walking tour….went to try to find the spots from Angels and Demons even if most of the students hadn’t seen the movie 🤣❤️🇮🇹 added on a little jolt over to the Campo dei Fiori before heading back to the hotel to meet everyone else.

Yesterday we had an optional excursion to the North American College and visit two seminarians from Oklahoma. One was even an Oklahoma State graduate. They happen to have one of the most amazing views of Rome! 🇮🇹❤️

Continuation of second day in Rome! Coliseum and then part of our group went to the Nort American College to meet some Seminarians from Oklahoma, including an OSU grad and experience the best view in Rome! 🇮🇹❤️

Another great day in Rome! Learning the history of how Rome was founded, the forum, where Caesar’s ashes are buried, the Coliseum and about the gladiators that fought there. 🇮🇹❤️

We made it to Rome and hit the ground running!! Presentation from the Commercial Officer from the American Embassy, group dinner at a small family restaurant called Santi, first metro ride, Piazza Del Popolo, Spanish Steps, and Trevi Fountain. ❤️🇮🇹

Another great morning in Florence….business tour days…leather designer, jewelry designer, wool shop, and paper makers…we learned how purses were made, met an incredible female entrepreneur who has changed the jewelry business, saw where King Charles gets his OSU orange coats, saw a manuscript from Cosmo Di Medici that was being restored! 🇮🇹❤️

Second full day- visit to vineyard and oil making company. Visit to Pisa and climb the leaning tower! 🇮🇹❤️

First full day in Florence. Accademia, the David, Piazza Michaelangelo, lots of walking!
