We will be hosting a nature walk at the McPherson preserve on Sat., April 15th at 12 pm. It will be a relaxed pace, but remember to bring water, sun protection, and bug spray.

Tomorrow at 5:00 PM, OSUBS (Oklahoma State University Botanical Society) will be hosting a social via zoom. Like the last social, we put together an online botanical scavenger hunt that should provide a great opportunity to work together with other members at the meeting. This activity is completely optional if you just wanted to chat with each other instead. It ought to be a lot of fun getting to know you all better. Send us a message if you'd like to join!
This semester, OSUBS will be holding a photo contest. Winners will be featured on the OSUBS 2022 calendar. Submissions will be open from now until April 16th. Submission fees are one dollar per photo. Only cash will be accepted. Please message us if you are interested in participating.
Photo submission guidelines:
A plant/plant part must clearly be the focus of the photo.
Photos with watermarks and/or date-stamps will be disqualified.
Photos must be taken by the person submitting the photos.
Photos should be high resolution.
Photo submission instructions:
Rename your photos to your name and submission number (i.e., 1-5 if you submitted 5 photos).
Upload your submissions to the Google Drive folder (message us for a link to the Google Drive link).
Go to Destiny's office (PS 301), sign the form, and include your payment in an envelope.

On Friday, March19th OSUBS will be hosting Dr. Lane Greer to give a presentation on plant propagation at 5:00 PM. The presentation will focus on seed propagation but will also cover creating a mini greenhouse and a little bit on asexual reproduction. It should be a very informative talk.
