Happy Birthday to this dear legend 🎂
My personal favorite memory was him sitting in the backyard with a super soaker to keep squirrels from stealing his pecans 😂😍 miss him so much!
He taught me how to read a clock, play dominoes, count by 5’s, the science behind armpit hair, why the sky is blue, and so much more.

Today would have been his 103rd birthday. We miss them all and are thankful for the time we had. 💙 here's your modern and hip 1970s suburban family of Stillwater. 🙂 Happy Charlie Day, Everyone! His favorite food was pancakes. Grab a short stack if you feel like celebrating him with us today.

I found out my husband used to visit the church thrift store growing up with his mom. He remembers Eva working there and sometimes Charles being there to see her. He and I didn't meet until 4 years after she passed so it's comforting to know he actually met my grandparents. Did anyone else visit the shop and see her? She was quite a character.

I apologize for the poor quality of these photos but I took a quick shot of them with my phone while I was packing up to move. These are some of my favorite pictures of them! Two of the pictures are from my childhood home, one picture is in Iowa outside a hotel and the other two are from their favorite breakfast spot, Mom's in Stillwater.
