Welcome to Harmony Hives! I'm Alyce-Kay, along with my husband Bill. As I mentioned to my friends a day or two ago, we finally have bees coming. It's in my nature to turn it into an educational experience -- eventually, I would love to write a short curriculum and have field trips here. But in the meantime, if you're curious about the process of setting up hives and beekeeping, you might enjoy our

new page. Bill has worked with bees before, but it's ALL new to me, so you'll get to hear things from my "new-bee", completely raw perspective -- not expert at all -- and hopefully the wonder will come across. Bill will probably share things from a more knowledgeable point of view. Also, I'm allergic to beestings and overly sensitive to epinephrine ... therefore, no Epi-pen, so I'll also share about how I handle that. We're hoping to eventually make our own mead, learn about the wonderful ways honey can be used for healing and wound care, cosmetic use, etc, etc, so I'll share whatever I learn here and would love to have others share their info, ideas, etc, as well. Hopefully, we'll share a lot of things you can do with local raw honey that you can get in your area. I've started a video series about the Apostles Creed. I would call it casual Bible study. I'm posting on Sundays and Thursdays and going through the Creed phrase by phrase, talking about what it means and how it makes a difference in our lives. The videos are short -- usually between 5 and 10 minutes, though I think that in the seven I've recorded so far, there's one just 4 minutes and one 11. You can watch (or just listen) while you have your morning coffee, ponder how you would apply this throughout the day, and then maybe journal or talk about it with your spouse, friend, or even your family in the evening. It'll be a great way to master the basic beliefs of ALL Christians and learn to recognize what's wrong by knowing what's right. The Apostles Creed is the summary of what all Christians, Protestant and Catholic, agree on. Here's the intro. I'll be posting another short video today or tomorrow with some tips to get the most out of it, and then the first episode will be on Sunday. I'd love to have you join me!
