You may not have realized that someone has been quietly taking care of instrument repairs around the studio.
For the last two years, Joshua has been studying violin and bow repair. When something goes wrong-- a broken bridge, or a bow needing a rehair-- he often gets it back in the student's hands overnight.
And now he’s been offered a pretty amazing opportunity.
Joshua has been invited to spend a full year apprenticing with Will Bartruff, a member of the Violin Society of America, to really deepen his skills as a violin luthier.
The problem is, Joshua would never make this kind of financial investment in himself. 😂 He’d find a hundred practical reasons why he should wait.
So I’d really love to show him that the rest of us think he should do it.
If Joshua has helped with your instrument, or you just want to encourage him as he takes this next step, would you consider making a small contribution toward his apprenticeship?
It doesn’t have to be much. I just want to be able to show him a whole bunch of names and say, “See? We believe in you. Go do this.” ❤️
Help us tell Joshua: go do this. ❤️ https://gofund.me/12146db1c
And if you know someone who loves supporting musicians, craftspeople, or small local businesses, would you share this with them? Every contribution, and every share, helps us remind Joshua that this dream is worth pursuing.
