Wee Care Learning Center

-is a state-licensed Christian preschool, offering classes Sept-May to children ages 3 years (by Sept 1 and toilet trained) to 5 years

Hello friends of St. John's Wee Care Learning Center! We have completed our first week of school!!!! There were a few tears, but there was tons of laughter, learning and singing. Miss Anna is a sweet, kind and patient teacher giving a wonderful example of how God wants us to treat one another: with respect, care and love. She is teaching her class about different emotions, how to deal with them and about God's love for them. Exactly what the caterpillars need. Mrs Kathy is dedicated, devoted to her class learning not only the educational requirements the butterflies need to start kindergarten, but also about God's love for them. She has created a curriculum that focuses on our theme "Be the Light". She is passionate about her career and her faith. Mrs Sandy, our Asst. Teacher is with the caterpillar room on Monday and Wednesday and the butterfly room Tuesday and Thursday. She has a deep unwavering love for this school and the families that attend here. She gives instruction, words of encouragement and hugs away sad tears.
We are so blessed that God has placed these women here as part of the Wee Care family. Please say a special prayer for each of them and all the students here at Wee Care. 💕- Miss Alicia

COMMON QUESTIONS



How do I pay tuition?

Tuition payments are due on the first of the month. Checks or exact cash can be put in the tuition pocket on the inside of your child’s folder or brought to the office. Credit card payments can be made on the Brightwheel app. Tuition is due on the first session of each month. Late charges apply after the 10th of the month October-May (after 22nd for September).

How do I arrange transportation?

If your child is riding Grisim Bus, call them at 533-8775 by August 30th (or sooner) to arrange transportation. Tokens can be purchased at the bus garage.

What supplies does my child need?

The only thing your child needs is a backpack (no wheels) that is large enough to hold a standard 2-pocket folder. All other materials, including the folder, are provided by Wee Care!

Is your calendar the same as the Stewartville School District?

Wee Care has its own calendar. Sometimes we are in session when public school is not or are not in session when public school is. All families receive a Wee Care calendar, which is also available on our website.

What time should we arrive?

Children can be dropped off beginning at 9:00 on class days. Our schedule allows for a 15-minute arrival time (9am - 9:15am). Staff members will be ready to receive students at 9:00.

Today we said “see you soon” to many of our students as we are wrapping up our school year on Monday.

Pastor Nick led us in our last chapel of the school year. Hearing those sweet little voices singing “This little light of mine” brought tears to my (Mrs. Tricia’s) eyes. Chapel has been such a blessing for our program this year.

All these “lasts” for the school year are so bittersweet. We may be biased, but we have the best students and families, so saying goodbye is never easy. It’s been a joy to watch them learn and grow 🐛 🦋
