Book Fair reminder: Please check your ewallets to make sure they are attached to the correct school. You can view this information by logging into your acount—- select profile—- select ewallet.

If your student’s ewallet was set up for the wrong school please reach out to us for the number to call to transfer it to the correct school. For security of your student’s funds, we can not call to have them switched over.

If you are setting up an ewallet for BES and KIES student, please do not use the BES bookfair link. You will need to search for the KIES fair from scholastic’s find my fair site to set up that student’s eWallet. Otherwise you’ll be setting up an ewallet for BES with the KIES teacher and student info.

We apologize for any inconvenience. If this happened to your BES students ewallet, we will hold your student’s books for them until you are able to get it switched through scholastic.

Monday we will welcome out first set of classes to the Book Fair (Ms. Atkinson, Ms. Sonneveldt, Ms. Wells, and Ms. Taylor)!!! Teachers will receive $50 Scholastic Dollar rewards to shop the fair too for their classrooms!

What is a Scholastic eWallet?

No more bills stuffed in backpacks! At the Scholastic Book Fair, kids shop without cash thanks to eWallet, a digital payment account for purchases at the Fair. Family and friends contribute funds. Then kids choose their own books. It’s convenient, simple, and secure.

How does it work?

It starts on your school’s Book Fair homepage. https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/bayside

A child’s family follows a link to create a free eWallet account. There are three ways to fund an account: Add money with a credit card, use funds from a previous eWallet, or invite friends and extended family to contribute.

Because funds are available immediately, a child can shop the Fair with eWallet right away. Families can use a leftover balance to fund an eWallet for a future Fair, or shop scholastic online.

Students may only pay with cash or eWallet.

What happens to eWallets after the Fair?

After we close out the Fair, unused eWallet funds will convert to an eGift card balance within 24 hours. Families can use the eGift card to shop online in The Scholastic Store. Or the remaining balance can fund a new eWallet for a future Fair. Families will receive a monthly email reminder with their eWallet balance so they don’t forget their funds.

This week we are starting our membership drive and we are so excited to see new and old members signing up already!!! Welcome!! Here at Bayside we welcome all members to feel free to PTA their way- If that’s with volunteering time, attending meetings, donations, or just attending events - there is no wrong way to PTA, we are just thankful for your support!

REMINDER! Meet and Greet tomorrow anytime between 1pm - 3pm!

Good Afternoon,

We wanted to update our families regarding potential bus route changes. The majority of the routes previously published will remain the same, however some are being adjusted. These adjustments could impact pick-up and drop-off times, or result in a driver change. As soon as the routes are finalized, they will be posted, and your driver will contact you directly. Please disregard any previous route posted prior to today (8/25/2023). We appreciate your patience and understanding. Thank you.

Where did the summer go?! While the students have one more week of summer left, tomorrow we welcome back our teachers to school!! To wish them a wonderful school year, our PTA is serving up a home cooked breakfast for our teachers and staff to enjoy!! We hope all of our amazing teachers and staff have a wonderful school year!!! ❤️

With your support with last year's Fall and Spring Book Fairs, we earned bonus credits!!!! With those bonus credits we are able to purchase these nice outdoor seat cushions for our new outdoor learning space!

The Bayside community needs YOU!! Please make sure you take the required volunteer training and fill out the google form (link towards the last slide) TODAY. This training is required to volunteer for field trips, within the school, and for the PTA. Once you fill out the form follow the directions to have your license scanned and you're all set!

The Queen Anne's County Library is having their Summer Reading Kick off this Friday at their Centreville Branch! It looks like it's going to be a fun time! You know what's also fun?? Reading books to get your Dolphin Dash filled in!! What books have you started reading this summer?

What a week!!! We are taking some much needed time off the rest of the month, but be sure to share our page with incoming 3rd grade friends, and current friends who may not know about us yet! We will begin planning for next year soon!!

Thank you to everyone for an amazing year! We couldn’t of done it without the entire Bayside community’s support!! You all are simply the BEST!!!

Congratulations to our 5th graders! You all had some pretty hard challenges during your 3 years at Bayside, but you all overcame and adapted! You all are destined for greatness! Don’t forget to always try you best and be kind to one another. Have a wonderful summer and an amazing time in Middle School!!
