You know you love your job when you dread the last day of school 😭
So grateful for all these special kids and their families!

I will be taking a break from social media for the summer to soak up time with my family but will be back next school year 🙂

Did you know our elementary program, Wild Roots has a Young Fives option? If your child will be turning 5 this summer or early fall, we recommend checking them out! A similar vibe to Muddy Puddles Preschool, but with more structured academic time.

Summer birthdays are tricky! Your child will either be one of the last students in their grade to turn 6, or one of the first students to turn 6. As a preschool teacher I always recommend waiting for kindergarten if your family is able (I understand this is not an option for every family).

An extra special Mother’s Day shoutout to Mrs. P! Her (and Mr. P) have literally made Muddy Puddles Preschool possible by starting this adventure by my side and then watching our youngest while I teach! We’ve called her the “grandma glue” because she holds us together in so many ways. 🥹

We had a special guest today! Whitney, a registered dietitian at Corewell joined us at preschool to teach us all about eating the rainbow 🌈 We learned how different colored foods contain different nutrients and help our bodies in unique ways! We also sampled a fruit in each color and each student received a fun chart to take home. 🍓🍊🍌🥝🫐🍇 Thank you, Whitney!

This week at preschool we are learning about authors! Today we had an extra special visit from the Lincoln Township Public Library. Ms. Kara read us a fun book about Groovy Joe, we sang songs with scarves, and we learned about the upcoming summer program that is 🦖🦕 dinosaur themed!
Our family LOVES the library- they have so many fun, free events for all ages. Definitely check them out!
