Architectural Digest named our 145-acre campus among the 50 most beautiful boarding and day private high schools in the U.S.—and the most beautiful in Maryland. Our affiliation with the Episcopal church means that we value the celebration of all faiths and promote a spirit of inclusivity in every aspect of student life. Students pursue the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (DP) and Middle Years Program (MYP), an interdisciplinary approach that includes independent projects, builds powerful problem-solving and communication skills, and is universally recognized as exceptional preparation for college. A robust student life co-curriculum promotes wellness, ethics, values, and citizenship—ensuring girls live balanced, healthy lives and develop skills that help them gracefully navigate the challenges of college and beyond. Through the Erin Michele Levitas ’11 Mind, Body and Soul Empowerment Program, girls learn about health promotion, risk reduction, and developing a holistic approach to wellness. From our cutting-edge Innovation Lab and makerspace to science and mathematics instruction that incorporates principles of the arts and humanities, our girls prepare to be creative problem solvers and to excel (and lead) in STEM fields. The ideal complement to the IB classroom learning, girls spend two weeks each winter focusing on health and wellness initiatives, conducting hands-on research, and engaging directly with thought leaders and cultural influencers in New York City, Washington, D.C., and throughout the mid-Atlantic region. We offer expert instruction and high-level performance and presentation opportunities in dance, theater, visual art, and vocal and instrumental music. Our Five Arts and Student Center is a state-of-the-art home for arts programming, performances, and exhibitions. Our partnership with the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University means girls may pursue expanding offerings in dance and music. Timothy's college counseling program encourages girls to start thinking about their educational goals early on and provides highly personalized counseling for each student. Our goal is to ensure that each student has the best possible colleges to choose from and that she finds a school satisfying her own educational expectations and aspirations.
