📌 Save the Date! The new 4-H year will be here before you know it! We'll hold our annual Club Kick Off meeting a little earlier this year on Monday, September 28th at 6:00pm in the West End Meeting Room. Council will also conduct their bi-monthly business meeting.
⭐️ All volunteers are welcome as we talk anticipated changes for the next 4-H year and make plans for our community! Reminder: All clubs must have at least 1 volunteer attend a Club Kick Off meeting before they can be active in the new year.

📣4-H Families, our fair needs some help!

The Columbia Gorge Bluegrass Festival is coming to the Skamania Co. Fairgrounds this weekend! This festival is a fundraiser for our fair, and is one of the ways they are able to keep our fair free to attend. Consider supporting the Skamania County fair by signing up for a volunteer shift in the Info Booth during this event. There are just a few shifts left needing coverage, and all volunteers receive a free t-shirt too!

🍀Applications Now Open for 4-H International Exchange Inbound Hosting Opportunities – Summer and Academic Hosting
👭We are looking for families willing to host International Exchange students from Japan and South Korea for three weeks from July 23 to August 15. These international youth ages 13-17 are placed with families around the state of Washington, and they will arrive and depart from Ellensburg.

All host families must speak English in the home and have youth between the ages of 9 and 17 to be paired with a host sibling. Interested host families must submit an application with States 4-H Exchange. Families need to have youth in the home the same gender and within three years of the visiting delegate. They do not need to go on tours but seek to be part of the family.

We still have one teen boy from South Korea a 15 year old needing host family for the three week summer program.

👕The window to order the 2026 Skamania County 4-H t-shirt will be coming to a close soon. Be sure to get your orders in by July 25th for pick up at workday in August!
