Friday, October 24 was the first Huddle Meeting of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (and All Students). What an incredible meeting we had with SO MANY STUDENTS choosing to come!

After an exciting game of “Snatch the Wig,” Alex Guinn of Section gave his testimony and shared of His growing relationship with Jesus. Our students were locked in and listening as the Holy Spirit filled the gym.

Afterwards, someone gave their life to Jesus! 🙌❤️✝️🙏

God also has provided even more FCA Sponsors, which is an answer to a prayer for Assistant Principal Desiree Clark and Teacher Nia Stivers. This year, we also have the help of Coach Hunter Steele, Coach Trevier Porter, and Teacher Chelsea Smith. In addition, our FCA Leadership Team is receiving extra support, training, and doughnuts from the area coordinator Betsy Loyd, who is SUCH a blessing!

Today was our last FCA Huddle of the year. This has no doubt been one of the best years that we have seen for student leadership in FCA. Students volunteered and gave their testimony or shared a devotion at every meeting this year with no adults being asked to speak!

Today, after a competitive game of musical chairs, senior Chloe Brophy shared that even
through life’s instabilities, God is always stable.

Today we had a huddle before we left for Spring Break.

We had three testimonies today! The first was Macy Brooks, a senior. She told stories of how God has sustained her even after being diagnosed with POTS or Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.

Then, we had Peyton Malley who had a car wreck just last night leaving her softball game at Madison County. She’d planned to speak for weeks, but the story she shared of the previous night’s wreck reminded all the other students just how quickly our worlds can change because our actions have consequences.

Our third speaker was Jewellyssa Jackson, who lost her mother when she was nine. Despite her loss, she sees how God worked to bring Jewellyssa to salvation and a loving relationship now with Him

The common theme today seemed to be that where we find God is often in the hard times because He is IN the hard times with us. He’s gone before us. He goes beside us, and He goes behind us. He will never leave us or forsake us.

Today was our first day of the new semester (progress report day 😳), and we had so many who chose to attend! (Could’ve been for prayers about grades!😆)

Senior Macie Davis shared her testimony of how God took her anger towards her grandfather‘s death to bring a deeper relationship with the Comforter. It was emotional for so many who have also experienced loss. Macie is shy and quiet, so witnessing her obedience to request to share was a testament to God’s power in willing vessels.

Thank You, Lord, for the most powerful movement we’ve seen that seems to be happening in THIS generation. 🙌

Friday‘s snow day caused us to host our 3rd FCA Huddle of the year on Thursday, January 9, 2024. This year’s huddles have been some of the strongest ever as the Lord continues to move in the hearts of our students. We have enough students on our FCA leadership team this year who have felt led to share their testimony or a devotion to finish the school year without asking any adults or guest speakers to come! To God be the glory!

At Thursday’s huddle, senior Laurel Mantooth shared a lesson on the importance of choosing good friends before freshman Kenzie Case taught about spiritual warfare, explaining its definition and common tactics Satan often uses.

As God promises, His word does not return void. After the Huddle, a 4-day new student and member of our baseball team reached out to Drew Davis, also on our FCA and baseball teams and the first to share his testimony this year, to ask Drew to help him pray and give his life to God.

In an empty classroom, some brothers and sisters in Christ were able to help explain the Gospel and read the scripture before that young man, freshman Hagan White, tearfully gave his life to the Lord through accepting Jesus’s sacrifice for his sin. It was a beautiful moment of gratitude for the grace God gave us through Jesus.

Jesus is moving in this generation!

Today was our first FCA “Huddle” of the year, and God showed up and showed out! Sophomore Drew Davis unexpectedly stepped up to share his testimony. Afterward, Peyton Malley came immediately and said she wanted to give her to the Lord! Then, one young lady recommitted her life, and TWO students came and asked if they could share their testimonies at the next Huddle.

There is a new name written down in glory!

We hope to have an interest meeting for any students who would to join FCA on Wednesday, Aug. 21 during 3rd block. (This is pending that all iReady testing is completed.)

We had our 2nd Courts For Christ yesterday. A huge thank you to Mud Creek Baptist band for the music and Pastir James Jeffrey for bringing the message. Five of our FCA leaders gave their testimony of why they attend church and why is it important to them. It was a great night and huge turnout from the community!!!! All Glory To GOD!!!
