Federal Student Aid is something every student should fill out if attending college (two or four year).

Even if you "think" you won't receive anything...keep in mind that the only way to qualify for a subsidized loan is through the FAFSA.

Work study is an option through the FAFSA.

Many college and local scholarships require the SAI code from your FAFSA to be awarded.

Juniors:
The Coolidge Scholarship is based on academic excellence and your interest in public policy.

This is a full ride scholarship. Winners may use the scholarship to pursue any academic major. The submission deadline is December 1, 2026.

The Coolidge Scholarship is an annually awarded, full-ride, presidential scholarship that covers a student’s tuition, room, board, and expenses for four years of undergraduate study.

THE 2027-2028 FAFSA form is now available (six days early!).

Reminder: Processing your FSA (Federal Student Aid ID) can take up to five business days.

Add the schools you have applied to when you fill out the form. Once you submit, you will receive an email from FAFSA saying it was submitted. Watch the FAFSA deadlines for each college.
You will receive a financial aid package (generally in late winter/early spring) from each of the colleges you included when you filled out the form.

We highly encourage every student to fill out the FAFSA every year! Even if you think you won't qualify for grants, many scholarships require the Student Aid Index (SAI) generated by your application. Plus, submitting the FAFSA is the only way to access work-study programs and subsidized loans, which stay interest-free until after you graduate.
