Our "CELEBRACION" event is tomorrow Saturday Oct 1 at UWSP. We are excited to welcome DJ Ventura! You can send him the names of your favorite hispanic songs with the names of the singers to his email at: [email protected]
He will have them ready. You can also bring your pen Drive with your favorite hispanic songs. 😍 We will be dancing soon!

BIO OF CARMEN ALICIA MURGUÍA
U.S. native, Carmen Alicia Murguía is an award winning Author, Educator, and Community Builder. A graduate of the prestigious Loft Literary Center's "Inroads: Latino/Chicano Writers Program," in Minneapolis, MN, Carmen has published 5 Collections of Poetry, appears in numerous anthologies, articles, essays, podcasts, television, magazine, and radio programs on growing up in the Midwest, coming out as a Latina, healing and creativity, and how poetry has changed her life.

ABOUT KUYAYKI PERU - MINNESOTA
Kuyayki Peru - Minnesota is a cultural organization dedicated to educating and spreading awareness of Peruvian culture through art, food, dance, and expositions.

ABOUT SALSABROSA DANCE STUDIO - MILWAUKEE
Salsabrosa Dance Company is Milwaukee's longest running Latin Dance performance troupe. Their routine will include salsa and bachata, followed by a 45-minute dance lesson!

Who else is excited for Celebración Hispana this Saturday? ❤️‍🔥

Our vendors will set up at the beginning, but will remain open throughout the whole event. Our Poet, Carmen Murguía will begin at 2:30pm, followed by our entertainment Kuyayki Perú at 3:30pm and Salsabrosa at 4:00pm. Reach out if you have any questions! We can’t wait to see you there. 🤩

Are you ready for Latino Student Alliance's annual event, Celebracion Hispana? ❤️‍🔥 Join us Saturday, October 1st from 2 PM - 6 PM for food, vendors, entertainment, and a DJ. This event will take place in the Laird Room (Room 230) of the Dreyfus University Center at UW-Stevens Point. Everyone is welcome to this family-friendly event!

Our event includes a small entrance fee of $12 for the public/$10 for kids (under 5 free), and $10 for UWSP students. All proceeds will go towards Latino Student Alliance and their future events. “We are two UNprofessionally trained dancers that simply love to dance bachata. I’ve been dancing on and off for about 5 years and Anabelle has been dancing for about 1.5 years. We teach with Wausau Bachata It is a group that has slowly grown in the Wausau area over the past year and we hope to keep it going!” - Kyle Xiong
