🏁 READY, SET, GO! 3rd & 4th Grade Field Day was a blast! 🏃‍♂️💨

The energy was electric on the field today as our 3rd and 4th graders took over for their annual Field Day games! ☀️👟

From the second the whistle blew, it was a literal race to the finish line across so many fun events. The absolute best part of the day was the incredible good sportsmanship on display. Our Bobcats were high-fiving, cheering for their peers, and lifting each other up along the way. 📣❤️

🌍🎨 PASSPORTS STAMPED: Kindergarten's Art Around the World! ✈️👨‍🎨

Our youngest artists just wrapped up an incredible journey across the globe! Over the last few weeks, Kindergarten has been exploring our Art Around the World unit, traveling to different countries and learning about famous masters of creativity.

Our little visionaries have been working hard over the last few days to channel their inner artists, creating their very own stunning masterpieces inspired by many different cultures and creators. From bold colors to unique techniques, their creativity completely blew us away! 🏯🗽🗼

💼 Principal for a Day Recap: Mr. Worden Wins the Day! 🏆

Move over, administration—Mr. Worden was our Principal for a Day, and he came with a packed executive schedule! He jumped right into his official duties and kept McKinley running smoothly from morning bell to dismissal.

Here is a look at his official itinerary:

🦋 Scientific Research: He joined Ms. Polzin's 1st-grade class for the grand finale of their caterpillar life cycle project, helping them successfully release their beautiful Monarch butterflies!

🍕 Executive Rewards: He hosted a pizza-and-movie party for our top PTO fern sellers to celebrate their amazing fundraising efforts.

🧑‍🌾 Campus Supervision: He rolled up his sleeves to supervise and take part in our Annual Garden Planting day.

👀 The Ultimate Highlights: Principal Worden conducted an official classroom observation, and also made a stop by his twin brother's room.... Let’s just say he fully enjoyed being in charge of his brother for the day! 🤣👏

Principal Worden, you did a fantastic job leading our school with kindness, authority, and plenty of fun. Thank you for your leadership!

🌱 Green Thumbs & Happy Hearts: It’s Annual Planting Day! 🌻

Our McKinley Bobcats were out in full force getting their hands dirty for our annual garden planting! 🐾🌱

Students traded their books for trowels as they planted vegetables and herbs. This project is such a wonderful way for our kids to learn about plant life cycles, sustainability, and exactly where their food comes from.

We can't wait to care for these plants over the summer and enjoy a delicious, homegrown harvest in the fall! A huge thank you to the staff and volunteers who keep our green spaces thriving. 🥦☀️

🍧 The coolest way to celebrate the end of the school year! ☀️

We had the most delicious surprise today! A massive thank you to our incredible PTO for sponsoring snow cones for our entire school. Both students and staff loved getting to take a sweet, icy break!

We also want to give a huge shout-out to Rainbow Snow for coming out and serving up the most delicious flavors. It was the perfect way to beat the heat and celebrate all of our hard work this year! 🌈✨

Thank you for making the final countdown to summer so sweet!

🐾 ONCE A BOBCAT, ALWAYS A BOBCAT! 🎓✨

Our hearts are absolutely bursting today! We had the distinct honor of welcoming back some very special visitors—our former McKinley Bobcats, who are now high school graduates!

Thank you, seniors, for taking a walk down memory lane and visiting the halls where your educational journey first began. It feels like just yesterday you were walking through these doors as eager elementary students, and now you are ready to take on the world. 🎒➡️🎓

Seeing you come back to your old stomping grounds meant the world to our staff and inspired our current students.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! Best wishes in all that is to come—we will always be rooting for you!

🦌 Pizza, Puttering, and Police Partnerships! 🍕

Our Cadets took on Wisconsin Dells! 🎢 A HUGE thank you to the Stevens Point Police Department for sponsoring this memorable trip.

Highlights include:
1️⃣ Mini-golfing at Timber Falls ⛳️
2️⃣ Science fun at Tommy Bartlett 🔬
3️⃣ Pizza party at the Pizza Pub 🍕
4️⃣ Feeding the deer at Wisconsin Deer Park 🦌
5️⃣ Cruising on the Upper Dells Boat Tour 🚤
6️⃣ Souvenir shopping Downtown 🛍️
