And Marvel is the star🌟🌟🌟 student of the week again!! Honorable mentions go to Breleigh and Ava V. A reminder to all--you may use Piano Maestro as part of your practice routine for many of the lesson books (and some classical pieces as well!). Plus, if you earn 3 stars on a song, you can apply them to your 40-piece challenge charts.
Yes, it's time-consuming--but that's usually because the app encourages the student to keep a steady beat (the tempo is adjustable). The more times the student practices the song at a slower tempo, the more they'll improve! There's really no shortcut to completing the 40-piece challenge (just like making a cake🎂🍰). The sole purpose of the activity is to help students expand their musical capabilities beyond 3-4 songs.🎹

We’re about six weeks into the fall semester, still ironing out schedules and practice quirks. Most students are doing a great job keeping up with their assignments, though a few are struggling with time management and feeling overscheduled.
Today's blog topic is practice reminders; how to make it happen at home.

Hi families! I know it’s a busy week with SPASH homecoming events, but I’m excited to share my October updates. So far, four students are confirmed for the Fall Festival. The studio will cover the entry fee, and it’s a fun, uplifting activity that won’t take up your whole day (please let me know if your child can participate). Group lesson week is just around the corner—please sign up for one of the sessions scheduled for Oct. 19–21 (sign-up deadline is October 16). Classes with zero or low enrollment will be canceled. For the Halloween recital, please send your videos by October 21!
