Congratulations to Associate Professor Saemyi Park, who received a grant from the Universities of Wisconsin Office of Civic Engagement to launch ViewPoint Dialogue & Dinners at UWโ€“Stevens Point during the 2026โ€“27 academic year. ๐Ÿ‘

The grant supports four campus-wide Dialogue & Dinner events that will bring students together over a shared meal for respectful, small-group conversations across different perspectives. It also supports four undergraduate student facilitators, creating opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience in dialogue facilitation, civic engagement, and research collaboration. ๐Ÿ“š

Through the initiative, Dr. Park will also conduct research examining studentsโ€™ experiences with dialogue across differences and the potential of these conversations to strengthen civic engagement. ๐Ÿง

๐Ÿ”What a fun Political Science picnic! ๐ŸŒญ

It was a great gathering among students, faculty, and their families as we came together to celebrate the end of the semester. Even though it was very cold (yes, it has become a tradition that Political Science Picnic Day is always cold ๐Ÿ˜‚), but still fun!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day so memorable. See you next year! ๐ŸŽ‰
