Just like that, another year finished. I am so grateful to have spent the year with these incredible humans. My heart is full and proud and grateful and sad to see them go and excited to see where they’re headed. ❤️

Shout out to Mrs. Schwartz, Mrs. Lockman, SPASH students, parent volunteers, the birds and the forest for another AMAZING field trip to the Boston School Forest. It’s my favorite day of the year!
They are also having an Earth Day event on Sunday!

This morning, we were authors and illustrators! 📝🖍️

We read a story starter called ‘Pedro the Curious Pig’. Pedro is a pig that asks a lot of questions. One day, his curiosity led him away from his barnyard. While exploring, he heard a noise in the bushes and went to see what it was…

We worked as a class to finish the story; our authors dictated as I wrote:
He saw a wolf! He was scared. The wolf came out and tried to eat Pedro. Yikes! Luckily, the wolf was distracted by a nearby skunk. The farmer came looking for Pedro Pig. The skunk sprayed the wolf. The wolf ran away. The skunk chased after the wolf to spray it again. The farmer found Pedro and said ‘Pig! Don’t do that!’. The pig was happy the farmer found him and they went back to the barn to sleep.

We had tons of fun with our letter/sound egg hunt this morning! We found eggs filled with lowercase letters and pictures representing each letter of the alphabet and matched them to the board! Even F***y Frog joined in the search!🥚🔤

We have been learning about cooperation this month. We had so much fun using teamwork, perseverance and problem solving to make and test tin foil boats with a partner today. 🛶

Our most successful boat held 81 frogs before sinking! 🐸
