🚒🚓📬 Thank You, Community Helpers! ❤️

Our preschoolers have had so much fun learning about “Places & Faces in the Community”!

Throughout our unit, we had the opportunity to visit the fire station 🚒 and post office 📬, and we even had some special visitors from the police department come to our classroom! 🚓

These hands-on experiences helped our little learners see just how many important people work together to keep our community safe, happy, and running smoothly!

A HUGE thank you to our local firefighters, postal workers, and police officers for taking time out of their busy days to teach our preschoolers about what they do! We are so lucky to have such wonderful community helpers! ❤️

🏜️ Exploring Arches National Park!
The 4th Grade SCS Enrichment students learned about Arches National Park and its incredible natural rock formations. Inspired by what they discovered, students became nature architects and created their own unique arch structures!
After carefully studying their finished designs, students used their imaginations to choose the perfect name for each one. They wrapped up this part of their lesson by taking a walk through their very own Enrichment Arches National Park. East Garfield Elementary McKinley STEM Academy

🦸‍♂️💥 Heggerty Heroes of the Week! 💥🦸‍♀️

Our kindergarten superheroes are saving the day, one sound at a time! ❤️🖤 As part of our Heggerty Phonemic Awareness program, our little learners are building big skills by practicing the sounds that help them become strong readers. 📚✨

We are so proud of these amazing Heggerty Heroes for working hard, learning, and growing every week! Keep up the SUPER work Wells Academy ❤️🖤📖

❤️🚒 A HUGE THANK YOU to the amazing firefighters from the Steubenville Fire Department for visiting Wells Academy during Fire Safety Week! 🧑‍🚒👨‍🚒 Our students loved learning about fire safety and meeting the everyday heroes who help keep our community safe! 🚒🔥
We are so grateful for the time, dedication, and bravery these men and women show every day. Thank you for making learning fun and reminding our students that heroes don’t always wear capes… sometimes they wear turnout gear! ❤️🖤
Our community is a better place because of YOU! 👏🚒
