Next week is teacher appreciation here at the Playhowse and we’re going to get it started a little early.
Through the fall and spring our staff are subject to multiple outside observations that measure the quality of their teaching, communication, classroom management, and many other things, so next week is a welcomed change as those observations have been completed.
The 7 point scale is broken into unsatisfactory, approaching proficient, proficient, high proficient, and excellent. All of our staff scored high proficient and excellent ratings with Ms. Sonja in our infant classroom scoring a perfect 7!!!!!!!!!
This is an outstanding achievement that reflects their daily dedication, consistency, and care for the children they serve. This accomplishment speaks volumes about the work happening in our classrooms each day and how our teachers strive to create safe structured and nurturing environments for our children.
Thank you to all the parents that trust us with their children and thank you to all our staff that do a wonderful job each day!

This Mother’s Day season, we have the opportunity to give more than just words—we can give love that truly makes a difference.

Did you know that 1 in 3 families struggles to afford enough diapers? For many moms, it comes down to an impossible choice: diapers…or food. And while programs like WIC and SNAP help in many ways, they don’t cover this basic need.

That means families right here in our community are going without essentials for their babies—but together, we can change that.

💛 Or give financially to help provide them for local families

Because something small to us can mean everything to a mom in need.

We wanted to take a moment to share that our center will be closed on Friday, April 3rd in observance of Good Friday.

As this special day approaches, we encourage you to enjoy this time with your loved ones, reflecting, resting, and creating meaningful moments together. We are so grateful for the trust you place in us each day to care for your children, it truly means so much to us.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back the following week, refreshed and ready for more learning and fun!

Once part of the Playhowse family, always part of the Playhowse family. Adelyn “Addy” Pennington attended our center, and her mother, Makenzie, poured years of love into caring for children here. Our hearts are with their family, and we encourage our community to support them however possible. 💚
