🎉 Congratulations to these outstanding Whiteside Area Career Center students on Career Signing Day! 🎉

🔧 Brady Zipse, a graduate of Forreston High School, is signing full-time with Zips Repair Inc. Brady would like to thank his parents for helping shape him into the person he is today and for supporting his future plans. He would also like to thank Mr. Walls for being a strong mentor, encouraging his future success, and helping him further develop his welding skills.

🔧 Jaxson Kastner, a graduate of Dixon High School, is signing full-time with Bonnell Industries. Jaxson plans to continue growing his welding skills and further master the trade. He would like to thank Mr. Walls for teaching him not only the technical aspects of welding, but also valuable life skills and a deeper understanding of how the industry operates. Jaxson also appreciates Mr. Walls’ willingness to always take the time to help whenever needed.

We are proud of both students and excited to see what the future holds for them. Congratulations, Jaxson and Brady! 👏

The Whiteside Area Career Center’s Health Occupations students have earned a 100% pass rate on the Certified Nursing Assistant exam, according to a news release.

Health Occupations students, with the help of Digital Media Arts students, are creating their own educational tutorial videos for future WACC CNA students!

Last week, Whiteside Area Career Center hosted Career Quest, giving 8th grade students from local middle schools the opportunity to explore the many career pathways available at WACC before starting high school.

We were thrilled to welcome 22 schools and nearly 1,300 students...an incredible turnout! A huge thank you to our WACC student volunteer tour guides who stepped up as leaders and did an outstanding job making the experience engaging and informative for our guests.

We had 124 applications, completed 55 interviews, and had 21 student scholarship winners.

Congratulations to the Whiteside Area Career Center students who have earned their Education Pathways Endorsement.

We appreciated the opportunity to attend the ceremony hosted by ROE #47 at SVCC and to see Mrs. Atilano take part in the cording. This is a meaningful step for these students as they continue toward careers in education.
