Northeastern Junior College (NJC) is a two-year college located in Sterling, Colorado.

The Plainswomen basketball team compete in the Region IX conference and is a Division I member of the National Junior College Athletic Association.

Some people never look for the spotlight, they simply show up every single day and make a difference.

Thank you, Coach, for the countless hours you’ve invested in our program. From the early mornings and late nights in the gym, to the endless miles on the road, to taking care of our players far beyond basketball, you’ve done it all. Whether it was driving to games, taking players to doctor’s appointments, staying late for extra workouts, or simply being someone our girls could count on, you’ve always put this program and our student-athletes first.

The impact you’ve made reaches far beyond wins and losses. You helped shape young women on and off the court, and your dedication, selflessness, and heart have left a lasting mark on NJC Women’s Basketball.

While we’re incredibly excited for you as you begin this new chapter and step into your new role at NJC, there is no doubt you’ll be deeply missed by our staff, our players, and everyone who has had the privilege of working alongside you.

Their dedication to our student-athletes and commitment to the Black & Gold culture help set the standard every single day. This program wouldn’t be what it is today without these two!

This isn’t just another junior college basketball program—it’s a place where players grow, develop, and move on to the next level. In just the last three years, we’ve helped student-athletes earn scholarships to 5 Division I programs, 5 Division II programs, and 3 NAIA schools.
If your goal is to play at a four-year university, we’re going to do everything we can to help you get there. We create professional-quality highlight tapes, actively promote our players, and work year-round to maximize exposure. Our coaching staff sends hundreds of emails, makes countless phone calls, and builds relationships with college coaches across the country to put our athletes in the best position to be recruited. Off the court, you’ll be part of a family that genuinely cares about your success as a student, athlete, and person.
