Aikido training in Loudoun County. We are members of the Capital Aikido Federation, an independent association of aikido dojo.
Potomac Aikikai is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Aikido, a traditional Japanese budo developed by master Morihei Ueshiba (1883-1969). Our technical director and founder is Clyde Takeguchi Shihan. CAF ranks are recognized by Aikikai Hombu Dojo and the International Aikido Federation.

Recently, we got a surprise visit from Dave Millar Sensei, 6th Dan of Capital Aikikai. We were happy to receive instruction from him and at the end of class, he surprised us with our Yudansha cerificates including our two new Shodan.
