My heart goes out to Helena's family. 💔 She died when a dresser fell on her while she was trying to get a toy from the top of the dresser.

This is a tragic reminder that there is still work to be done to educate parents and consumers about the dangers of furniture tip-overs. It's also a reminder that prevention is key and why it's so important to anchor ALL your furniture with drawers, doors, and shelves to a wall stud. It doesn't matter how old, tall, or heavy it is. If it's not anchored, it could take a precious life like Helena's in the blink of an eye. today!

BREAKING NEWS: Health Canada (the equivalent of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission) has adopted the mandatory standard under the STURDY Act (ASTM F2053-23) as the mandatory safety and testing standard in Canada, in part thanks to comments submitted by PAT (and Kim, the founder of Meghan's Hope) in support of this improvement in their safety standard for dressers and clothing storage furniture.

We are thrilled with this improvement in safety for Canada's most vulnerable citizens. We are also grateful that our voices and stories continue to be heard and have an impact in creating safer dressers and other clothing storage furniture, and protecting kids from tip-overs like the ones that stole our children from us.

Recall Alert: Furniture anchors (anti-tip device) recalled for risk of failure to prevent a tip-over and potential for serious injury or death. Sold at Amazon between 2019 and 2026. Free replacement kits with stainless steel anchors is available from the manufacturer. Please replace these anchors immediately (preferably with a metal anchor) to prevent a tip-over.
We always recommend anchoring all furniture with drawers, doors, and shelves properly to the wall. We also advise avoiding plastic anchors if possible, due to the risk of failure.
