On Friday, September 25, we celebrated our Grand Parents and People! Our time together started off with a program put on by the students in preschool through 8th grade. After our students showed their Grands the classrooms, we all met back up in the gym to do a craft, play BINGO, and have a snack. School was dismissed at 11:30am.
Our photographer, Sydney, was able to make it for a short time and captured some of the smiles and fun.

Tomorrow (Friday, September 25) we are celebrating our Grand People!! We will begin in the gym with a short program from the children at 9:30 am. That will be followed by Bingo, a craft, and snacks. Dismissal will be at 11:30 am. There will be no Late Out after school.

The third Wednesday in September is reserved for “See You at the Pole” across the nation. Like many other schools, we were blessed to be able to end our day outside together around our flagpole as a school to raise our petitions and our praise to our awesome God.

Monday we held our bus drill. The students enjoyed getting on the bus, exiting out the back door and walking around the bus to see the flashing lights.

Northern Illinois District President Buss visited today and led Chapel for our first day of school. After school, he, the pastors, and the staff posed for the annual back to school photo.

Tomorrow’s our first full day~we have four preschool openings and plenty of desks in Kindergarten-8th grade! We have before and after school care and can cover many working parents’ hours (7-5:30). Most importantly, we teach that earth is temporary but eternal life is promised because of the saving grace of our Lord Jesus. While we were still sinners, He died for us. Amen!

Thanks to all who came to our Back to School Night! It was great to catch up with families, see new faces, and eat yummy food! Unfortunately Paula’s Comfort Food is unable to attend (praying for you, Paula!), but the Bluesy Box will be ready to fill you up tonight! Get your favorite lemonade at Main Squeeze to go with your main course and top it off with a sweet treat from J & M’s!
