Lost edges became one of Dennis’s favorite things to explore in the world of painting. This Trio of White Roses that Dennis painted during a workshop illustrates that idea so well. It’s a fun idea, “lose edges wherever you can” became his motto. It’s one of those concepts that make your painting look more real than reality. I marveled every time I watched him paint in front of a crowd of students asking questions while they were watching every brush stroke. It was some kind of phenomenal performance art. His courses have videos of every brush stroke, every paint mixing color.
