This week, Gilly would like to give a BIG shout-out to two amazing members of our 2nd Grade community, Ms. Chinnery and Ms. Sohela! 💚
🌟 Ms. Chinnery brings a positive attitude and energy that radiates throughout her classroom and carries over to her students. Her room is truly a VIBE!! 🎉 Every time you walk in, you can feel the positivity, excitement, and sense of belonging she has created. Her students know they are valued, supported, and part of something special. She has created a classroom environment where students feel welcomed and excited to learn!
🌟 Ms. Sohela consistently goes above and beyond for her kiddos! Even while splitting her time between three classrooms, she never misses a beat and always makes herself available to support anyone who needs assistance. She is a consistent, caring presence for both students and staff, and her dedication, flexibility, and willingness to jump in wherever needed make her an invaluable part of our Guilford team.
Both of these amazing educators make a difference every day through their positive energy, commitment to students, and dedication to building a community where everyone feels supported and belongs.
Way to go, Ms. Chinnery and Ms. Sohela! Thank you for all you do to help our students and staff thrive. We are so lucky to have you as part of the Guilford family! 💚🐊

Just in case you've missed it: 10/2/26 Gilly's Staff Shout Out!!

Ms. Sheppard brings such an incredible level of positivity and energy to her 3rd grade classroom. Her ability to motivate and encourage her students is truly awesome! She has built a strong sense of belonging and responsibility among her students while creating an environment where everyone feels valued and supported.
Ms. Sheppard also has a natural ability to build meaningful relationships with both students and staff. She is always willing to step up and represent Guilford in a positive way, and her commitment to our school community does not go unnoticed.

As our Financial Technician at Guilford, Mr. Portillo does so much behind the scenes to support our teachers and ensure they have the materials and resources they need to be successful with students. He works hard to build positive relationships with staff and is always a welcoming, positive presence in the main office for everyone who walks through our doors.

Gilly's Staff Shout Out!!!

This week, Gilly would like to give a BIG shout-out to two incredible members of our 3rd Grade Team—Ms. Stokes and Ms. Long!

🐊 Ms. Stokes is new to the Guilford family, but you would never know it! She has jumped right in, quickly building meaningful relationships with both students and staff, ensuring all students feel a sense of belonging and becoming a wonderful addition to our school community.

🐊 Ms. Long, a seasoned Guilford veteran, has done an awesome job coaching, guiding, and supporting her new team members while continuing to build positive relationships across the school. Her experience and willingness to support others make a tremendous impact!

During a recent walkthrough, Ms. Stokes and Ms. Long did an excellent job co-teaching an ELA lesson. The flow and collaborative style of the lesson created opportunities for all students to grow and learn. Most importantly, their genuine care for students was evident the moment administrators walked into the room.
Way to go, Ms. Stokes and Ms. Long! Your teamwork, relationships, and commitment to student success are exactly what makes the Guilford community so special! 💚🐊

Ms. Shaikh is always willing to support our students and staff in whatever way is needed. She goes above and beyond to help make our school a welcoming and supportive place for everyone. Whether she is assisting with after-school events, helping students and staff throughout the building, or simply being a warm and welcoming presence, Ms. Shaikh makes a positive impact each day.

Gilly's 1st staff shout-out of the school year went to Ms. DeGree !! She did a great job creating such a welcoming and inclusive environment during our first week! She made sure all students felt like they belonged, built strong connections with students, and welcomed both students and staff with warmth and positivity.
