Some days just dont go the way that you intend or expect. Some days I just want to stay in the cut and tend to my hurt emotions and self. I know we all experience this (some more than others).
Something else I am learning is that these emotions I label as "Bad" or "hurtful" are there for a single purpose. To protect me and keep me in a safe "regulated" state. The reason I label them as bad, is because that's what I've been taught over my life.
I've been taught that being angry isn't okay, being sad isn't "Masculine", being anxious or nervous feels "Yucky". I've been taught that some of my emotions are not acceptable "Behavior".

Well let me tell ya, I have been wrong about all those "Bad" emotions my whole life.
Once I realized (still in the process of doing such...lifelong journey I imagine) that all my emotions are there solely to protect me, I started looking at them as guiding coaches, as opposed to the critic who tells me I'm doing everything wrong, never good enough.
Now that I am re-introducing, for example, my Anger, to myself I can look at it from more of an elevated stance and understand why I'm feeling the anger, and what the source of the emotion is.
My Goal is to live a more intentional, thoughtful life. One day at a time.

"The Guest House" is a nice Poem that helps remind me that I am in no control of when my emotions come up, and instead of greeting my own emotions with discontent, I am trying to learn how to treat them with curiosity and love, compassion and empathy.
Maybe this can help you if your also on the never ending journey of

Wow I can't believe how small we used to have our clones and veg plants.
It's amazing how much our process has changed since we started.

We started out in dirt, with "Smart Pots" (felt pots) and our plants were tiny. We had a perpetual grow so every 2 weeks we would harvest 1/4 of the room which would be 80 small plants. We started with the "Sea Of Green" method with a drip water system. The biggest problem is how tight we packed the plants into the bloom room. 1 per square foot!
There was no room to work. Once the plants are in, that was it until harvest...If one of the drip lines got clogged for one of the plants in the middle of the quadrant I would have to get some PVC out and pour nutrient water into it so that plant wouldn't die.

Making sure there is enough room to actually work on, be with and spend time with each plant individually makes all the difference in the world.
we used to harvest 80 plants every two weeks, totaling 320 small ass plants in the bloom room at once! We would average about an ounce/plant of cured top shelf flower.

And we needed such big moms because we would clone 80 plants every two weeks!
This would ultimately be our downfall, because taking that many clones every couple weeks was the Lynch pin that almost brought it all down...But success thru adversity and is the solution to many problems. And **tyoulove is the secret sauce to the Perseverance

I forgot about the blanket over the bloom room door lmao. Also we used to have a wooden veg bench.
Like I always say, We've come a long way, got a long way to go!

Alaskan Leaf!
I am so honored to be working with Loren, Melissa, Amanda and Holly! Before I almost put myself out of business in 2019, Alaskan Leaf was a great supporter of Permafrost! (the pic with me with a beard is from 2019!) Wow time flies!

I love Girdwood, I married my wife at the Round house on top of Mount Alyeska and we named one of our children Alyeska. I'm not any good at downhill skiing, but by golly, I sure love it :)

What do you do when things seem hard and impossible to move forward?

Pre-Permafrost I spent ~14 years in the oil field. From Alpine to Kuparuk, Prudhoe Bay to Milne Point, Swanson River to the platforms. I got to see my fair share of rigs and grit no doubt. As I got older and started growing a family, leaving for those 2 week, 3 week hitches (sometimes longer) got harder and harder. I had a lot of ideas of how to get out of the oil field, never would I think I would be growing cannabis and offering this healing plant to the wonderful people of Alaska.

It's this grit and down and dirty hard work that I did then that helps me stay focused and moving forward in my day to day today!
Anytime I'm feeling down, stuck, depressed or aggravated, I lean into the fact that I'm doing s**t I love everyday, and remembering the hardships I experienced in the oil patch helps to keep me regulated and thinking positive today. Oh and I get to be home with my family every day!
Everyday presents more opportunities, but also more challenges. And the real value and lessons learned lie within the challenges and failures.
So if today is feeling super hard, remember true success is born out of adversity and the sun will rise tomorrow for a fresh opportunity to be soft with yourself and keep on trucking!
and do something nice for yourself today, you deserve it!

I was wondering, do you prefer your pre rolls with the twist fuse tip or a nice clean blunt tip?
We only wrap up bud, because friends don't let friends smoke trim.
