We had an incredible time hosting 8th graders from across the district at this year’s Future Focus event! Students dropped by to check out Stevenson MADE and explore what it’s like to major in Manufacturing, Automation, or Design Engineering.

Blueprinting history, block by block! 🧱🏙️

Our US History students took a deep dive into turn-of-the-century urban housing, reading primary sources on the rapid growth and tenement conditions of the 1890s. To bring their research to life, they engineered Lego cities modeled straight from historical layouts and urban challenges!

As our juniors read Frankenstein, they’re taking on the ultimate empathy challenge: caring for a potato “creation” 24/7 for 7 straight days! By experiencing what Victor Frankenstein avoided—true caregiving and responsibility—students are building the human-centered empathy essential for ethical engineering and design.
