More than 110 new staff members are joining our UCS family this year. The majority of these new staff members have chosen to begin their educational careers in Utica Community Schools. We welcome them to UCS and honor them as the generation that will carry our legacy into the future.

All four UCS high schools have once again been named among the best in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.
Eisenhower, Henry Ford II, Stevenson and Utica high schools have placed among the top 9 percent of the nation’s 27,000 high schools evaluated in the study, according to the annual ranking.
Schools were ranked on six factors: college readiness, college curriculum breadth, state assessment proficiency, state assessment performance, underserved student performance and graduation rate.

The Legacy of Excellence Award recognizes the lasting, positive impact these honorees have contributed to the success synonymous within Michigan’s second largest school district.

To celebrate the 2026 Legacy of Excellence honorees, Utica Community Schools will host a Legacy of Excellence Awards Event on Thursday, September 30, 2026. Through the generous support of our business community, this free, formal event will be held at The Palazzo Grande in Shelby Township beginning at 6 p.m., with doors opening at 5 p.m. Tickets will be available later this week on a first come, first served basis.

All UCS programs and services will be held indoors today - Friday, July 17.

All Utica Community Schools programs and services will be held indoors today due to air quality and the heat index. Normal hours are in effect for all programs, but all activities will be held indoors. This process will be evaluated daily based on air quality reports and temperature indexes.
